Mary Washington Healthcare spends about $300,000 a year on its forensic nursing program, said Eileen Dohmann, senior vice president and chief nursing officer. The program costs about $500,000 to run annually, but some of the expenses are reimbursed by local law-enforcement agencies and by the state.
