Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Earning Continuing Education Contact Hours at the Assembly But Were Afraid to Ask!
The opportunity to earn continuing education contact hours is just one of the many important benefits the IAFN Scientific Assembly provides!
The Assembly offers three types of sessions:
- 30-minute sessions--Attendance at each 30-minute session earns the participant 0.5 contact hour
- 60-minute sessions--Attendance at each 60-minute session earns the participant 1.0 contact hour
- Half-day workshops (held Saturday, October 13 only) - Attendance at one half-day (a.m. or p.m.) Saturday workshop earns the participant 3.0 contact hours
Following the Assembly, all attendees will be emailed an evaluation form that must be completed before any contact hours can be awarded. To ensure that you receive the email expeditiously, make sure that IAFN has on file the email address that you most often check.
If your email address is connected to your hospital's URL, you may want to check with your hospital's IT department to ensure you can receive emails from IAFN; many hospitals have strict SPAM filters.
The number of contact hours you earn is up to you; you receive them based on the number of sessions you elect to attend and evaluate!
